Don,

Thank you for your kind comments. I am short on time today, as I am headed to a funeral, but I will look over the material your are referring to when I get a chance. God bless you, and thank you very much for contacting me!

in the love of Christ,

Matt

Hi Matt,

Firstly, I just learned of your site through SaintsMeet. Secondly, I LOVE your web site name which I assume is based on Eph 4. But the double entendre is just as good, "the Zones!" Love it! Eph 4 gives us the zones, eh?

Brother, your article stands out as an excellent example showing Christianity being turned into a laughing stock specifically in America and in the west in general.

There is a way out of this dilemma which I hope I may expose in this post that would quickly accomplish your last paragraph's goal.

Firstly, let me share this: The bible is 75% narrative and only 10% expositive. Another 15% of it is poetical, but much of that is narrated. In other words, the biblically approved example as to how to share the best news man kind has ever HEARD is through narration. Why then do we almost exclusively teach and preach expositively? It is costing us our youth and thus the church in America.

We will remember that Romans 10:17 says "hear" not "read." I know you'd be convinced that the Holy Spirit knew both words and used "hear" over any other word He could have used. TV is probably the reason we're losing ground in the church, but it can be replanted through narration, the same medium TV uses.

The most wonderful thing about narration is that you can prove it on yourself and it doesn't cost a thing. Go to https://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=dgqtv9ff_175cj2nj7f6&hl=en and just pay attention to the links that are there while you read the story OUT LOUD with as much feeling as you would were you to read it to a child.

The links that are there will explain the science of it in general terms, but the personal experience of it is PROFOUND.

Use the method to plant a church of 2 - 3 people, give a few more stories for them to cut their teeth on, go back and give them some more to grow into maturity. From there will come an entirely changed world view to God's methods and ways.

Let us praise the Lord together!
