By allowing Christains to eat all food allowed for the quick spead of christainty all acroos the globe, while Jews and Muslims had to observe dietary laws. I mean, what a Jew have done had they been on ships coming to North America? How would they have been able to establish what was and wasn't clean when a completely new food chain had been introduced?
